Ugly Duckling
poster and animated GIF

Ugly duckling is ultimately about maturation and the transformative nature of beauty. I sought to convey this in my poster. Take a step back and notice how the dots and patterns on the poster morph into a graceful swan.

Unseen
poster and stamps

Unseen is a collection of commemorative stamps to theoretically raise funds for Singapore's Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH). The poster and stamps have a textural quality to them, being comprised of layers. They also have embossed brail on them. And as a final feature, the poster and stamps also have a translucent quality to parts of them, embodying the spectrum on which visual impairment occurs.

X-Men Fashion Zine
page spread and poster

As an artist on the X-Men Fashion Zine project, I contributed a spread of my favorite X-Man; Cyclops. The spread is choke full of X-Men references, from Cyclops' obsession with Jean Grey to his take over by Apocalypse. You can find out more about X-Men Fashion Zine on Instagram @xmenfashionzine

Singapore Zoo
poster and invitation card

The Gobiiformes is the order of fish that the famous Mud-skipper fish belongs to. For this project I designed a poster and invitation card for the theoretical opening of Gobiiformes-centered exhibition in Singapore Zoo. I sought to portray the ugliness of these fishes in these posters while also highlighting the subtle endearing quality that ugliness brings.

Touch
interactive workbook

All creation cannot come without some form of destruction. Singapore has embraced this compromise in its pursuit of progress. And though there are attempts at preservation, it is impossible to conserve every last vestige of our past.

Touch is an opportunity to document a less considered aspect of our diminishing past: texture.

Step 1: Identify a location worth preserving and note it down on a page. Be as exact as you can about the location. You may also include why it is worth preserving.
Step 2: Tear out the page and place it onto the surface. Make a rubbing by dragging a brush with graphite powder repeatedly over the page. You may use a charcoal stick or crayon for this step.
Step 3: Preserve your work by taking a picture or a scanning it. Consider uploading it onto your social media platforms, who knows, it might prove useful to future historians.

Sud's Socks
poster, mini standee, packaging

For this self-branding project, I wanted to highlight the large collection of socks I own. I decided to create a brand around my socks and categorize them according to 3 distinct styles. I had a lot of fun drawing the illustrations for this project and having them interact with one another.

Anti-Capitalism Booth
8 page accordion fold zine

This zine is a record of my experiences running an entirely barter based booth where I accepted payment for posters and zines that I was selling in anything but money. It also acts as a guide for any future boothers who would like to do something similar.
